A member of Food & Allied Industries Ltd., Mauritius, Avitech S.A.R.L. was founded in 1993.

The company philosophy is to grow together with local farmers and the local community.

To this end, the company operates a number of farms and a hatchery, providing chicks to local farmers. Avitech also provides them with animal feed, essential technical advice and training so that they can run an efficient operation.

Thus, over time, Avitech has supported the creation of hundreds of small local enterprises.

In Mihitsy, with the support of the Ministry for Agriculture, Avitech operates a pilot farm and a training centre for local farmers. Food & Allied Industries Ltd. managers and technicians regularly travel to Madagascar to provide training courses.
